Dont Ever Ship With Ups
I know everyone things UPS is the best out there, but what can brown do for you? As become a question of how ****ed up you want things to get.
I ship 100's of packages a week to all over the US and in the last 4 months they have lost 10 grand worth of our stuff and have never been able to find it. Now maybe a year ago they were the best on the market but stay away from them, if you can ship with US postal, its more likely to get there. sorry just b*tching |

Personally, I like FedEx. Costs a little more, but I feel as though you get what you pay for.
When I lived in Atlanta, I had a CD burner shipped from Marietta (about 20-30 minutes north of where I lived). It first went to Raleigh, NC.....then it went to Richmond, VA...then it went back to Raleigh, NC....then it went to Atlanta. So I emailed UPS Customer Care (sic) to file a complaint with them. I basically explained my complaint, and that it was obvious that they just ship it around the country to make sure it doesn't get there before the 6 days is up. They sent me back a response that basically said "Thanks for using UPS, please contact us if you have any more questions or concerns." Hahaha....those bastards. I try not to use them at all costs. b |

FedEx does seem to be pretty decent.. We ship airbourne a lot.. They can be really rough on packages.. The tend to break most of the stuff we ship..

Ha.. have fun.. We had to meet with the people from airborne and complain to them about their service.. It seems to have gotten a little better.

what are you talking about. i had the best service from brown. i used fedex and i can say they sucked. they took 3 weeks just to get my mirror for my car, and when i called them they weren't even knowing what the hell they were doing. i like usps, but i think they are too slow, and lately they tend to give me my bills only after the due date. thank god for the online payement

Oh yeah, I had another brown story to tell.
One day at school when I was walking across campus, this brown guy was pushing a dolly carrying a couple of rather large boxes on it. He hit a small bump and the top one dropped off, probably about a good 4 feet or so. It tumbled a couple times when it hit the ground. He then picked it back up and stuck it back on the top, looked pretty heavy. He then hit the SAME bump again and it dropped off again, rolled a couple times. He just picked it up and plopped it back on the dolly again. As I got closer, I realized that these were computer monitor boxes, and he had also plopped it back on the top with "This side up" on the bottom. What a tool. And then people wonder why things are defective when they're brand new. I've never had a problem with FedEx. In one of my coop jobs we shipped a bunch of computers FedEx and they all arrived safely and in a timely manner. I've had good and bad success with UPS, but I personally feel they suck. I've had lots of things shipped to me Airborne, and I've shipped a couple things, but it's all been documents and the likes. They've done a great job, I can ship cheap cuz my co. has a deal with them, but again, it's only been documents, not a lot of damage to happen to those unless they get rained upon. b |

Hey monitors are stronger then you think.. Its the components in the computer that really get messed up!

I like FedEx only if you get their faster shipping options. Otherwise they are slow as hell. UPS has been ok to me, but I've had them do things like deliver a computer with my name and addy on it to my neighbors (who opened it, voiding warranty, and we had to send it back, etc.) Priority mail seems to work well for smaller items.

Yeah UPS likes to kick big holes in the boxes. It horrible when you send a plant a $1000 computer and they receive $5 pile of pieces.
I still use them personally. I don't ship a whole lot, so I haven't seem that many issues.
