you know what I did for the cable, I completey pulled out the cable from under the grill and routed it over the AC then the radiator and goes through a small hole on top then goes though a pipe I welded to the upper support peice (the thing that has the AC stickers)

btw to pop the hood you dont even need to cut the cable, all you have to do is yank it
