upside down kit
any civic owners that have the problem with the stereo faceplate use the upside-down kit?
I just installed the upside down kit for my 7th gen civic because with regular kits you cant see the freaggin faceplate at all. Only at night time you can see it. I think 6th gen civics are like that too. Anyways if you installed an upside down kit and modified it in any way to look better, please give me some ideas. I just installed the upside down kit and am able to see everything in the sun, but the only bad part was making the center dash look so ugly because of the kit. |

its a stereo dash kit that lets you see the face plate. It sets the faceplate on the lower pocket and the empty pocket on top. Regulars dash kits have pockets on bottom and faceplate ontop. ill show the kit later on, just woke up.

heres a picture of the upside down kit. Very good mod to those who cant see the faceplate. With this kit, you will be able to see it, even in the sun. the only flaw is that it looks ugly! the kit only costed 5$ at an audio store.
Should I keep this kit or switch back to the regular kit? I cant attach the picture can anyone help me? |

what you talking about man. I didnt put this upside down. I have another one, but I'm just telling all the civic owners to get this kit if they cant see squat on the display during light. Thats all. the kit was like 5$ and I have the original kit but i cant see crap. If you saw how the civic dash is set up, you would know too.

wow pat you're such a prick i don't think it looks that bad aside from being off center. I'm assuming that's only availabe for 7th gen civics since i believe the 6th gens you can mount it either way. Or you can mount in in the lower storage compartment (i think pat did it). But i'm assuming the 7th gens don't have that compartment? (I usually just hold my hand over the dipslay to see when they're a glare)

ok seriously...
Ive been in every generation of civic to date, and there is nothing wrong w/ the em2 interior that angles the stereo to the far right or up. I just dont get what youre trying to fix here |

I dont know about the 6th generation civics. But for the 2001+ civics you arent able to see didly squat in the sun if your faceplate is on the top pocket. Thats why I bought a special kit for 2001 civic that replaces the stereo to the bottom pocket instead of the top, so you can see better. Maybe you just ne ver heard about this because not alot of people know this upside down kit. And although it looks kinda ugly, at least I can see the screen.
