Autometer sport-comp black faced gauges:
Are they backlit? Does anyone know? Can someone call their autozone and ask for me? Mine is full of idiots that cant even read the stupid box...stupid hicks

i looked over my distributors for you and i can't find any autometer black face gauges. as for autozone i won't call them because ours is full of idiots too

my black faced gagues have lights around the outside of the gauge that light them up... its not back lit, but the light keeps the faces lit well. i believe the colbalt and the el somethign serise are backlit, thats why they are about twice the price

My silver face are well, heres how it goes:

basically, theres a light that goes in the back of the gauge, and a gap around the actual face of the gauge, so light goes around the gap and lights the face up. It lights up very nicely and looks mighty cool.

not specificly about autozone but i've heard where some auto parts stores don't want thier employes to know sh*t about cars so they can't say this or that will or might work better have something go wrong wether(sp?) blowing the engine or whatever and have that person end up sueing the company because of their employees bad or maybe dumb advice
