Crating and shipping circa $300-500 cross-country, maybe a little less for you. Cheaper to find a friend to ride it up and pay his plane fare back.

Boots are secondary, but if you get into the sportbike seriously you'll want 'em. You'll also need pants or a suit to ride on the track (which you'll want to do if you get serious about the gixxer).
