Jack stand placement?

Alright, I have a jack and a pair of good quality 3 ton jack stands. How do I get the car up onto the jack stands properly? Like where should I put the jack stands and how do I lower the car onto them.

I do know how to use the jack properly and how to block the wheels and everything. Had to change a tire before. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

place the jack stands on the "arrows" that are in front of your back wheels, and in back of your front wheels.

jack your car up with the lift using the tow hooks located around the body. you'll see them.. they stick out like little metal pieces.

I did know how to jack the car up like I said. Using those tow hooks that is. I was interested on how to lower the car onto the jack stands. Though I think I can figur that out now. I will test the stability of them first of course.

Thanks!

I can't find these "arrows" you speak of! Where are they exactly and do they just look like arrows?

Wow, hmm.. they should be .. under the car, near the side skirts. It could be different with accords and civics... but I'm not too sure now. There actually is an ARROW => that says where to place the jack :\.. I suppose you can take it down to a mechanic and ask them the proper place?

I asked someone at Pep Boys. He drew me a diagram of exact placement. BTW, there were arrows on the side skirts pointing to the tow hooks. Thanks for your help!
