I never had the duel feature (Geforce 2 MX 400 w/tv out)...or didn't know about. I always used either/or...but never both. Are you running the latest detonators, or specific drivers for the card?
I remember my biggest problem was with detonators for some weird reason. When I found drivers that fit my card right (It's made by ABIT, and I was using Nvidia's detonators.) Try getting the drivers made by the company who makes the plateform....not the chip.
