Virus Heaven
This is just a word to the wise about viruses going around. I downloaded the new norton to get rid of suspected viruses and found out that i have 100 infected files. I have four or five viruses from the new blast virus to trojan horses to some webspy thing. I still am trying to get rid of these but i figured i would warn everyone if you dont already have a virus sheild working.
Is anyone else haveing crazy virus trouble like me? |

My work got hit with the blaster worm, but other than that everything's fine here. I did start running a virus scan prog though lately.

blow away partitions twice and do a clean install. dump all your infected files, or scan them very carefully as you reload them.
I'm guessing your a frequent p2p user and download a whole bunch of crap right? thats where your problems came from. |

i actually got a virus called the w32.walehelia.worm which counteracts the blaster, so its a virus that protects me against a virus. Rumor has it that the record industry (the ones that are pissed about P2P sharing) created the worm sent it out, so people would stop using kazaa (and its working) and then when they realized how dangerous it was, and realized that it was infecting any kind of computer, they created the walehelia, to counter act it. Makes sense dont you think?

I'm "johnny no protection"...
I have NO firewall... NO antivirus software and am on cable modem... so I'm ALWAYS conected to the internet. I don't check emails or open attachments though.
