Have you heard? I blew my Y8. I just pulled it out and popped the head off. Got a nice hole on #4 pistons. I'm gonna do a "mini-me" set-up for now and rebuild my Y8 with some LS rods or somethin. Later... |

Thanks for the comments guys. It's still cheaper than buying a kit, but it's almost the same cost now. The only trade off is that i get the bragging rights from piecing it together, and i have wicked nice parts that i like ( esp, my WG and BOV).
Ben you sure about 500hp as a daily driver? That sounds very unstreetable, and very tractionless. Hey Arnel, how bad do you think my turbo lag will be? A buddy of mine has a celica that he turbo'd himself and has a smaller johnnyracecar.com intercooler, and thinks that my larger intercooler (and smaller displacement) will yield a good ammount of turbo lag. Any comments?

it will not lag that much at all. you'll pull so hard around 4000-5000 man. T3 super 60 is my favorite D-series turbo. That shit is better than mine.

yay
i had a feeling, i mean, the fucking compressor wheel is almost microscopic so i figured itll spool quick. I just kinda had a feeling that my friend was jealous since his setup was wicked ghetto (he was using a used 88 supra turbo:o ), consequently, it shit the bed and now he's getting a T3....
