Smoked Si
Well my friend and I were on our way back from Blockbuster going to his apartment last night, when a brand new black Civic Si pulled up next to me at a red light. My friend looks over at me and says, "I think this guy wants to race!". So I'm thinking to myself, "why the hell not, this guy is gonna smoke me, but oh well." So I rev it up pretty good and the light turns green. I gun it and just totally kill him. We come up on red light number two, and thought maybe he was just testing me. So we do it again and I just completely DESTROY him. I'm talking a good 3 or 4 car lengths before he turned off to go wherever, maybe cry. I'm not stupid, and I know that a new Si can beat my 97 EX with only Intake and cat back exhaust. I'm gonna chalk it up to a lame driver, but damn did it feel good! Was my first chance to really test out my new short shifter. I can't wait to get my Enkei's on and windows tinted so I don't look so stock.

Considering his was an EX tho... doesn't that come w/a v-tec engine? |

I do call You have to insane to think the SI would lose to an ex with intake and exhaust. I have laid waste to numerous civics with short throws, intakes, and exhausts. Ask Dingo! Over-rated or not they will still beat a ex....Just my opinion though. What do i know anyway right? |

Not to metion he has an intake so he actualy has a little more power than me..good kill *edit* If you go here and here runs a 16.1@86 1/4 mile And then The EX is running a 16.8@82mph.... doesn't seem far fetched to me..Not to metion he can run his rpms to around 8k before he shifts where as you have to shift at 7k... BTW the 94 stats were takin from here and here. So mike don't run around telling peopl how you beat me when its icy out and wet roads... you don't stand as much of a chance as you thought *edit#2*he has a 97! thats an extra 2hp Let me dig up some 97 stats! BAH they are about the same...but he does have an intake and exhast... Good Kill! Last edited by drdingo21 : 12-16-2002 at 08:14 PM. |

lofl good kills.... even cars that are .7 tenths apart can look like the other person one, TRUST ME ITS ALL ABOUT REACTION TIME, TRACTION, ROLLOUT TIME, and DRIVER, HELL I SMOKED A 13.1 SECOND SUBURA AT THE TRACK IN WHICH HE RAN A 13.1@103.0 to my shitty 13.7@104.11 I HAD HIM BY A FULL CAR, y?? because of reaction time, he slept at light
GOOD KILL...

My ass you had me till 90. What about the other two races we had on 33?? Did you happen to forget those? And dont try telling me you had no traction because i was on the same road as you so i wouldnt have any either. I give it to you that that guy pulled out in front of you. BUT no excuse. If anything that 1st race is the one that shouldnt count because there was snow on the ground the roads were ice. The only really legit reason you have with that one is that you could hear my car over your exhaust so you didnt know i was gonna race you! LOL. |

The other 2 races on 33, it was wet and icy out, i was going 10mph and redlineing in 2nd gear and i broke them loose and in 3rd, which i have never done before on dry pavment. You know why i could break them loose? because it was wet and icy, and you beat me because i stopped racing. A little common sense goes a long way...thank god i have enough to make up for the both of us. |

I drive a 2000 Si and recently raced some dumb kid in his brand new 2002 Si. I decied to race him because every time I would see he would try so finally I gave in.... Honda made a poor choice in producing that I car I feel. But anyway, I beat him, with no problem.
EXcellent kill for the EX |

i believe that he won.
races are won because of reaction times, the launch and others mistakes. when i had my other car i lost a couple times because of mishifts |
