If you could start over, what would you do different?
:o I would have worked more on performance first and then got the system. I could have bought some great performance parts for how much I've put into the system.:o

i wouldve not spent money on car stereo and went for performance, and i wouldve not parked my car in that spot where some little f**ker hit it.

Put all the money into the engine. I spent too much on stereo stuff(which I later sold).

BUT IT I WAS TO DO IT AGAIN I WOULD"VE WENT ALL SPEED. When i got by car back in 95 there wasn't as many options as there is now. I think DRAG just came out back then and it was hella expensive.

many things:
-i should've bought a used car and B20Z swap. -i should never have bought the extended warranty (very stupid move! honda's last forever!) -bought better looking rims (i'm on my second set, still ugly) -never bought short ram intake (turbo kit replaced it) |

I love Hondas but if I had to do it over again I would have bought a Supra Turbo. I was at the dealership and had the loan approved but I just couldnt sign the paper. I could have been runing 11s long ago and for a lot less mods.

Why couldn't you sign the paper. To much long term debt. I wouldn't pass on a turbo supra if I had the chance to get it.

Same here. That is if it was a good deal. Some dealers try to rip people off on those.

First thing I would have done was not bought a 6th Gen civic...
I should have bought an older one and paid cash for it.. Then it would have been all motor work from then on. Swap, Turbo, I/C, internals... the whole 100 yards.. Then I would have gotten Real coilovers instead of those bouncey skunks. Thats what I shoulda done.

I would've gone Turbo immediately. Spent waaaayyyyy tooooo much on bolt-ons that gave me minimal returns. Gained 1 second with $3000 Cdn in bolt-ons, but gained a further 1.5 seconds with only $1500 spent on the turbo!
For anyone who really wants to go fast, save your money and go turbo. It's safer than NOS and faster than SC at almost half the cost! |

Nitrous Oxide is perfectly safe as long as your not dumb. Nitrous oxide isn't dangerous. Stupid people with nitrous oxide is dangerous. Plus as long as you don't squeeze for like an hour straight and don't put to big a shot on your car, your motor will be fine.

The problem with nitrous is that some places its illegal to haul without a chemical license, If you get caught with it in your car you could be in some trouble.

I dont know guys im a turbo freak but I still think nitrous kicks ass and is no more dangerous than turbo. Cylinder pressure is cylinder pressure in my book no matter how it happens to get there. On thing is for certain and that is no car should be with out one or the other.

If your worried about cops, then take your bottle out when your doing the daily driving. When your going to the track, put it back in.

I've only had my car since May 5th, so I haven't really wasted much on extra stuff....little things, but they cheap anyway. I'm still buyin my performance mods an gettin them on, so I haven't wasted too much. I'm still not too sure whether or not I should've bought an S2000 over my 2001 Prelude....I like the extra power and the convertible, but I think that it's more practical for me to get the Prelude...besides, how can I complain bout my Prelude, I love it. The main killer buyin an S2000 would be the insurance, same with a Supra. Love them all but the insurance is a killer. I guess it ain't all that bad....my parents are probably buyin an S2000 not too long from now....they had never really seen one til I was lookin at them an preludes an now they love em. Guess that I'll have both to drive soon! -AZNinside |

I would have gotten 16" rims instead of 17".
Would have gotten a turbo instead of an intake and header. Would have skipped the springs and struts and gotten coilovers. System last. The funny part? I'm pretty much starting over. I'm still getting 16s, a turbo, coilovers, and I'm redoing my system. |

I would have bought real coilovers instead of the coilover sleeves and got some black rims instead of white ones. Maybee I'll get them powdercoated or something though.
