I know these prices are high

Im looking at buying an EF or crx for my winter car, and I found 3 locals:
CRX
The rex is privately owned and has quite a lot of cancer. I think I might learn how to do bondo on it...

Civic White
Civic Grey
Both cars are in personal dealer lots (you know, like "Bob's Auto").
They run fine, no real mech probs that I could see/hear when I drove them...but theyre michigan cars, have typical honda cancer (not awful), and I believe they were city driven on a daily basis.
(The white civic's mileage is 15x,xxx)
(The grey civic, I am offering even less $ and having them keep the wheels/tires.)

What should I seriously offer them as a counter price? Any help would be appreciated

I like the grey one.

I had a crx for a winter beater when I had my truck. I got the thing for $500. Then in spring some dealer had a trade in sale "any car is worth at least 3k". Thats how I wound up with my first civic.

Im actually partial toward the crx, just because it needs love
Plus, I think they look cooler.
Either way, the y8 will end up in it

I like the grey Civic, too. Not much wiggle room at $2000, but maybe you could try $1500 and go from there.

I say the CRX....it looks like a little beater that needs love...learn some good body work on it...why not!! Paint it nice again...turn it over make some cash if you want. I love CRX's though...i say go with that...super fun little cars.

Yeah, but its an hf...whats that hp range? In the 60s? Its a gas sipper for sure.
Im having some real doubts about the rex. I mean, look at the rust on the door frames:

That looks scary...and definately beyond bondo. I dont even know how to weld.
If I decided on the crx, I wouldnt offer more than $800
However.......I am strangely attracted to this poor crx

I also found an si crx that looks perfect: CRX 2 and the price shows it. KBB value is less than 1/2 that though, and I might be able to talk them down.

It should get even more than that.
I found an ef on ebay that the seller is willing to meet me 1/2 way if I buy it (60miles for each). He's looking for 900 and for that price I might do it. All it needs are oem springs...

What you should do is suck it up and buy that grey one...and then find some douche to buy the rims for 700-1000 bucks and put yours on there...good looking car for 1000$...cant beat that
