i might keep the H23a1. stefan wants it, and i want vtec. so there my be a deal in the works.
but if i keep the H23a1. i was going with a Turbonetics 62-1 turbocharger. like this guys trubo setup...http://www.preluderacing.com/ i might still use his set up on a H22a or H22a1. my HP goal is 500WHP. its not going to be streetable. but i might still drive it occasionally. it would be my weekend warrior. im buying a 89 lude that has either a B16 or B18C in it. the seller isnt sure what it is. not a car person. just bought it and didnt like it. 275$ and its mine on tuesday.

At 110K I would save up and freshen up the engine first. Nothing too fancy (although for 500hp you might have to get a little fancy), but I'd definitely re-ring it and maybe shotpeen the rods and some new (stronger) pistons. I think Arnel's setup would be perfect for your motor...so I'll skip the whole recommendations thing. Just don't get too ambitious and blow it up.

make sure all the basic shit is covered too, new water pump + timing belt (if it hasn't been done already), cause you wouldn't want either of those shitting the bed. Then inspect the valvetrain, adjust and makesure the valves are seated good and the springs are good.
