Legos
Who here played with legos as a kid? Are these things awesome or what? I think they are what sparked my creativity and desire to build and create... did yall keep all your legos and put them in the attic like I did?

I was more into match box cars than legos, but legos are tight.

I still have every lego set I have ever owned. I have every police set there was and a few ambulance/hospital sets too. Sometimes I feel like spending a day putting them all together. I still have the instructions, etc.

We had massive amounts of legos when I was young. I think mom just recently sold them all. We had a couple garbage bags full, they were the best.

Legos are awesome! When I was younger I could spend hours building something, I especially liked to build houses, don't know why. My younger brother had all the cool ones, like the medieval castle and the pirate ship. I think we still have ours, and I think some of them might still be together.

the best part was getting you and a friend to build your own castles or bases out of legos then have a war, i always won cause i had 3 pirate ship bodys, i'd ususaly make one long destroyer with space wepons on it. OH do u guys remember the cannons that fired the little round one hole tall peices? those were the best

I love legos. I've still got all the legos I owned as a kid...well, they're still at my parents, but they will not get rid of them. I'm gonna play with them again sometime....
I've even acquired some newer legos through my years....legos kick butt. Some of the newer ones aren't as cool as the old ones IMO. I love the cannons, too!!! b |

argeed the older lego's where the bomb, the new one's are all whack and commercialized now... Harry Potter legos :o
All mine filled up a army storage foot locker, and are in my G-mom's attic... they're there when i want em... I just have to make sure to get them before my brother gets a hold of them Has anyone noticed lego's are expensive as hell now.. a small set at walmart starts at like $10, back in the day, i could get the whole castle for $10.

Yeah legos are really pricey now... ive noticed its something like $.10 per piece!!! ... used to be more like .05... oh well, thats inflation for ya... I have all of the space, town, pirate, and some other assorted legos still all assembled in my attic... my favorite were the "M" spacemen from the late 80s early 90s... they were red and black and had a huge 6-wheel spacemobile thingy... I musta put that together and taken it apart a dozen times...

Legos kick ass I will always have mine. I'll go to some of my friends homes who have kids that have legos and sit there for hours and drink beer and build stuff. Legos are the greatest.

I still got all of my sets in a huge green container in my closet. I break em out every now and then. I've only lost one green light - it fell in the toilet! I have a lot of the old Blacktron and Mtron stuff that isnt sold anymore.
The new stuff is mostly crap though, I feel sorry for kids these days, they wont have the same motive to be creative like we did. All the new sets are basically put together and most are proprietary, so you really cant make your own stuff. I used to build the set once, then destroy it for my huge spaceship project, etc. I cant play with them anymore, my imagination disappeared with age, I still build though. |
