TRanny Swap

Does anybody know how much it will cost me to go from a Auto tranny to a 5 spd? People say it is not worth it.

Seriously- get another car. Think of all the stuff you'll have to replace- everything from the tranny to the ECU to the center console, not to mention adding a pedal, new cabling, sensors, etc, etc, etc. Get a new car and move your mods.

yeah my bro said that a whole engine swap would be nice and much easier to change the tranny. I was thinking of the GSR or the Type-R but that can get expensive. what do you think i should do since i won't be racing much or not at all but i still want some speed.

if you want more speed but arent gonna race much i say go with the GS-R since the B18c5 would run a lot more and i think they werent made to carry air conditioning

Well the B18C5 ( Type R ) is 195hp, and the GSR is 179 i think? (correct me if i'm wrong)

The B18C5 has a higher compression ratio. It's a sexy engine for all motor, but so is the GSR.. For your money go with the GSR. Be realistic.. how many people SAY they are going to put a B18C5 in there car and don't. GSR is way more plausable...and there is a GSR around here that redlines at 11,000 *drool*

Two more questions.. how much will the GS-R Cost me.. plus having it dropped it, I don't have the tools or a place to drop it on so i'm going to have a drop to do, if you know any good links.. that'd be good, also, whats the compression ratio, i'm a little confused about that, thanx.
