Dohc

I never looked into this but...

Will a DOHC head work on a D16A6 block or any D block for that mater.

not a b series dohc head, a D series dohc head can be made to fit a sohc block w/ extensive modification but its a nonvtec head and basically isn't worth the hassle at all. probably would lose power since swapping the head would drop the compression by a decent amount.

actually az. swapping a D16 head on a D15 bottum makes the hybrid D15B Vtec block. which makes more power then the D16, but less then the ZC.

why not just buy a b18b engine out of a 94-95 integra ? cheaper, better power to start off with, and a bosst loving engine ??

eh, I'd take the money that'd be spent on a swap and rebuild the d16a6.

Around here, you can get a complete B18A minus the tranny for less $120
