Sometimes things work out
1. Grandfather died. This wasn't too long after my grandmother died. They were two of the best people on earth.
2. Got a call from my Dad saying that there's an inheritance. 3. They're paying off the Civic. I told him I now feel morally obligated to keep the Civ nice until it starts winning classic car shows. That's $3900 I no longer have to worry about. Thanks, Grandpa. |

Wait, are you saying things worked out better for you now that your grandfather died just because he left 3900?

Wren, I think he meant that at least something good happened after all the shittyness. But I know how he feels. When my great uncle died he left me about $80,000 with the stipulation that it only be used for my "wellbeing" (he wrote his will shortly after I was born and had no idea if I'd need any sort of special medical problems or whatever). It's now putting me through college. It sucks ass to lose someone like that, but it's nice to not have to worry so much about how I'll get through school.
