i have no clue if u can do that or where you can get that from. see in US we are not too hot for the EU producs. we go more for the JDM engines and stuff. do u have any idea what the code for the type r engine is ? it makes 200 hp right. you can go with a h22a enigine ( prelude) which makes the same power, and it's more common swap. hope this helps

the accord euro-r (i think thats what your refering to) is a de-stroked p13 block to a 2.0 and its got a different intake manifold, and higher compression pistons. go with the h22 though, its cheaper. and MUCH easyer to come across

Actually, the H22A7 makes more power than the H22a. Also, the tranny has a helical limited slip, which is definitely better. |

Actually the Euro-R has an H22a in it. It is not destroked at all. And if he wanted to drop in an H22, it would be easier for him to get a hold of an H22A7 than a JDM motor. |

well, the h22 always has an "A" the usdm 4th gen ones are h22a1 the jdm type-s and regular jdm h22'a are h22a's (the red valve cover and the type-s intake manifold are the only cosmetic differences then the h22a4's are the 5th generation prelude motors.

cheers guys
your right its the H22a7, the reason why i wanna do it cos after i spent a few grand on my current 2.0ltr engine it still wont be fast enough so im cutting the crap and going for a bigger better engine my 0-60 time is about 9-10 secs at the mo with the type R engine it'll bring it down to about 6 secs then after that if i want more power i've been told that i can get a bolt on turbo but being front wheel drive to much is pointless cos i'll wheel spin to death and not get no where fast but money will have to be saved first. cheers lads i'll let you know when i finally get it done

The ATR has like 200 or 220hp if i remember correctly. And to acemace, if you get a turbo you don't have to worry about smoking the tires, all you need to do is pick your parts wisely and you'll be just fine. |

if your planning on a turbo, get the h22a 200ps engine. the euro-r engine and type-s prelude engine has too high of compression to turbo safly above about 5 psi

on the dutch honda web site i found something about an accord type-r but from the pictures, it looked like a 2.2 b-serise engine with 11.0:1 compression and 212ps (207-209hp)
