Help Me Out Guys !
OK, I installed my front shocks and springs
i am trying to install my rear ones i sprayed lots of WD 40 on those bolts already.. i still can't take them off, i have used all my strength to turn it, didn't work!!! it's the bolts that hold the shocks on the control arm ! what can i do now?? help plz!!! i was thinking of letting those ppl who has those AIR wrench to do it ! but i really want to save this 50 bucks and do it myself !! and my brother suggested me to use a lighter to heat those bolts up and try to turn it.. it may help... i didn't try it yet, i am so tired .. i will probably try it tomorrow but i need more opinions from u guys !! let me know!! I know i shouldn't post this on this board, but i know u guys, so u guys would help me out :P thanks alot ! |

You could try the Air Wrench.. You will probably end up doing like a bunch of us have done.. Break them, get them drilled out and put some anti-seize on them so hopefully they wont do it again.. Its a common problem with hondas really..

you could also try using a breaker bar to get better leverage on the bolt. That might help break them free.

Try the other side of the bolt. Ont he struts there is a nut welded to the one side. You may be trying to turn that and not the bolt. I know it sounds stupid but im sure im not the only one who has done that. If that dont work get a BFH and lay into it a few times.

All good ideas...
What happens Xbird the bolt on the bushing rusts with the bolt and then fuse together.. Mine did in less then a year.. I had them out once fine with no probs.. Then the next time about a year later... Couldnt get either one out.

glad you got it all taken care of tho.. Those things can be a pain... Make sure they put some anti-seize on the new stuff to keep it from happening again tho.
