7th gen turbos?
does anyone know where i can find a turbo for the D17A2 engine?

Your gunna have to piece something together I don't think anyone makes a "kit" for that.
since that's the case you can buy any turbo you want.

haha, looks like my brother is in for a Surprise once his shop opens.....
i think my brother just had a heart attack, he remember the D17 exhaust ports are round instead of oval. Looks like he better get busy

drop a K engine on it. check out the HASsport website or pick up a new HONDA TUNING magazine.....those dudes just dropped an RSX-s engine is a 4 door 01 civic EX

Having a custom kit built wouldn't be a problem, might be expensive but it's not impossible. Getting the timing and fuel management for it is going to be difficult. I don't think anyone makes a standalone unit for the car yet. Trying to work the stock fuel system might work but the timing is another thing. If i'm right doesn't the newer civic's use individual coils to control spark? I think that's where the problem is.
I would sit tight and let some tuning companies play around with these cars and work out some of the bugs before going in an tackeling the job. If you run into problems you'll know where to turn for help. |
