about the gas gauge.....
i was just curious because i want to know before i really have to find out the hard way. when the low gas indicator comes on, how much gas do you actually have left before the car cant run anymore?

my gauge is ****ed up
it'll run full for the first 60 miles, then start to go down. and when the light comes on, i have less than 15 miles before I run out of gas.

I think theres a gallon and a half for reserve or something. So you'd do a gallons worth, but then again you better already be going to a gas station because theres no way in hell you'll be able to start you car again after using up a lump of your reserve.

averaging 33mpg a good fail safe would be to say you should be good for another 20 miles.

I've tested it a couple times (not voluntarily heh). Maybe you should be super prepared and have a gallon of gas in for emergencies. |
