Pet Peeves
Ok...I know we all have them....those stupid little things that our significant others do/did. Or for those single people out there, what are your pet peeves about couples in public?

The only thing that really bothers me is when people make their problems seem more important then yours. Like everything in their life is a 911 situtation and I dam well know it aint. Other then that i just dont like couples when i'm single, if i'm dating a girl it dont bother me.
but today i was studying in starbucks with some of my mates and well there was this asian woman and this russian guy sitting over there. i have no idea what they were talking about and i dont think they knew either... just seemed odd. Didn't really bother me, just odd is all. Some girls might say i'm too talkitive though, maybe not over the phone anymore because i'm sick of the phone but in person I talk alot. Other then that I'm sure there are things i do that bother people, but everyone has their imperfections it takes maturity to tell the difference from the ones that end a relationship and the ones that just become cute. Like if your girl can't do something on her own, you might think at first "shit i wish she didn't need me to do that" but then your gonna miss it when she's able to do it on your own. Its nice to feel needed and theres nothing like a girl to make a guy feel needed. |

Single people tend to be offended/bothered by couples...For example...A single person sees a couple kissing or just talking, looking like they have no worries...This could really piss the single person off...Look at it like this...Someone is really hungry, then they see someone eating a bigasscheezburger...this could piss them off just the same.

I don't really care what other couples do in public so long as I'm not with them. If I'm single and with friends who are a couple and they prefer to make out rather than paying attention to their friends, that annoys me. I hate to feel like a 3rd wheel, so if I do then I'll just split if possible.
Not a whole lot to say about significant others at the moment, I've been single too long. b |

I'd just prefer not to see groping, tounge...you know the stuff that should be left behind closed doors...

not it still bothers me even if I'm with someone. Some signs of affection that people show in public should really be left at home. I don't mind hand holding, cuddling (if it's not over the top), kissing (as long as it's not like porn level)....but the over the top people still bother me whether I'm single or not

Couples bother me when I'm single. It makes me want to gag. Unless I'm 1 of the 2 that makes a couple. Unfortunately right now, I am not.

my wife makes this F'd grunting noise to scratch the back of her throat/roof of her mouth.
drives me nuts a girl I used to know did the same thing I kicked her out of my house one time it was so annoying. The only things that REALLY universally pisses me off though are: 1. People who don't move out of the fast lane when they're driving slow (er than me) and theres enough room for me to pass them on the inside. 2. People who call B.S. when they have no idea what they're talking about (ie. they just have a feeling your bsing so the call it based on that.)

Sorry, couldn't resist. I feel ya on #1. I don't have that problem with #2, so just where are you meeting these people???? More of mine: 1. Kids in relatively quiet or confined public spaces. Nice restaurants, for example....leave the kids at home. Airplane....pack them in the luggage, it'll cost less too. Movies, especially PG13+ movies. I was once in a violent R flick when a little baby started crying....what kind of f'd up mother takes her little baby to see a violent movie?????? 2. Parents of kids who won't keep them under control, I mean the ones who don't even try. 3. Dog owners who let their dogs sh*t all over my bike trail so my bike smells like doo. Especially the ones who place a rock on it on a hill, so not only does the rock slide out from under my tire I also get a nice sh*t slick to ride on. Those people piss me off. 4. Pedestrians who are on the ONLY line on the trail and who refuse to kindly step to the side where they could easily walk, but nooooooo they gotta walk on my line so I have no choice but to stop. 5. Pedestrians on the trail who, when I yell "RIDER ON YOUR RIGHT" they jump to the right so I almost hit them, or when there's 3 of them and 1 goes right, 1 left, and the 3rd stays in the middle. b |

HAHAHAHA
Ya I erased the part about me being a smart-ass-know-it-all. I've had b.s. called on me in just about every online forum I've participated in. (including this one I think) And every couple months someone I know personally calls bs.. It's my own fault but it bothers me that they call bs when they're wrong. (ex. One time me and a friend of mine were talking politics. he's a clinton/democrat hater and was on a republican kick. so i said the only thing that reagan did good was contract tons of stuff for the cold war which resulted in ton's of great technology for the masses. He's all "bullshit dude your talking out of your ass (It did sound like I was) name one thing that was the result of military contracts" So I responded: the internet you dumbass satalites you moron sony digital camcorders shithead It went on for a while he appologized for calling bs and even admitted that he did it cuz it "sounded" like i was bsing. Oh ya and I'm totally that guy setting up shit traps on the bike trails (just kidding)

1. When people have a cold and do that loud sniffing sound
2.People going 70-71 in the fast lane 3.people who dont signal 4.people who go 20 miles under the speed limit 5.tractors on the highway 6.cops 7.being a 3rd wheel 8.smart-asses 9.sumb-asses 10.people who love to show off how much better they are than you. 11.People who go out looking for races, just to race (take the race when you see it, dont look for it. Unless you are with friends). |

Dude I TOTALLY hear ya on the biking.. the shit and the people who walk. I've had so many close calls with telling them where i'm going to pass them i just dont bother anymore for their safety. When I get bitched at for not telling them.. i either lock up the rear and slide around to block the path and have a convo with them about being rude or i say "HAVE A GREAT DAY". The later has only twice but i would love to do it more often, people shit their pants when they see you stopping. Or if you cut it real close you tap the rear and slide over towards tehm as you come up behind them and the just jump right out of the way.. try it! |

its more then fun as hell bro.. if you think driving is amazing.. when you pass a tree 4inches from your arm at 30mph its a rush like nothing i've felt driving. Not to mention if your good on your bike there is a high likelihood you will make a great driver because you are able to work with smaller windows of safety. I remember my first time out driving i was flying up bloor street in a lane that had parked cars in it. I was some 3inches away from clipping their mirros and i was the only one in that lane.. flying by all the slow drivers LOL. My Dad just about shit his pants and I thought i had room to spair... which i did... 2inches to work with really.. oh those are good memories... get into biking and your driving will improved... trust me.. since i've been off the bike for the last few months i've had to push myself to get even somewhere close to the shit i was pulling when i was new at driving... |

Woo, my first post in over a month. Maybe I should try that.....I imagine huge tire marks running up their backs from riding over them....damn pedestrians. I see lots of bad press about bikers being "rude" on the trail and stuff, they offer all sorts of tips on how to be a more curteous trail rider such as telling people which side you're passing on, etc. But NOBODY TELLS THE DAMN PEDESTRIANS ANYTHING! It doesn't matter if I tell them where I plan on going, if they're not paying attention or can't tell the difference between right and left, it doesn't make an ounce worth of difference. Also the pedestrians should be educated on how NOT to walk on the perfect line. *sigh* I'll just keep dreaming about those tire marks on their backs..... I should ride today.....too bad I have a half hangover and I'm tired as hell from 3 hours of sleep. b |
