Introducing the wonderful USMC HMMWV
Well I was doing a 0-60 test on one of our HMMWV's and I quit at 1:30 @ 47 MPH. I was disapointed.

The HMMWV (High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) is a light, highly mobile, diesel-powered, four-wheel-drive vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. Based on the M998 chassis, using common components and kits, the HMMWV can be configured to become a troop carrier, armament carrier, S250 shelter carrier, ambulance, TOW missile carrier, and a Scout vehicle. The M998 is the baseline vehicle for the M998 series of 1 1/4-ton trucks, which are known as the HMMWV vehicles. The HMMWV vehicles include 11 variants. What he's saying is that Hummers in the army don't do over 50mph...
My buddy told me about that a LONG time ago. (well not that long but before you could get a hummer as a civilian)... I was going to try to get an army surplus one before they released them to the public... You could get them if you had or were serving... they were DIRT cheap too... you could get one for around 13k as I remember. Top speed of 50 but you could do 50 through a forest without turning as long as the trees were only 12-18"... just steamrolls through.
