Ok so here is the deal
Soon i hope to have about $5k do mess with....Me and my g/f worked out a plan for if i get this crazy $22 an hour job....I'm gonna buy her a car and go through mine with the 5k............soooooooooooo i can do a couple different things........
1 engine swap using the front clip for around $4k and build it as i go..... 2 less expensive engine for about 3k and go rims and drop 3 No swap...deck out the sohc Vtec with .030 over bore new intake, fuel rail,CAI,exhaust, injectors, fuelpump, cam gear, pulleys, carb, ignition, reworked head......wich will be around $3-$4k total......and still get some rims..... 4 mild mod the engine without the bore and reworked head....wich will be around $2k then rims, drop and paint and system my engine has 120k miles on it......thats why i wanted to do the swap....but if i redo it......then it will be like there is less miles on it....and i could be sorta sleeper with my piddly little engine |

I'd tell your gf to get her own 22/hour job...
then I'd spend 10k on MY car with MY money... do the swap with a build, drop it, put in a system, and rims... then you'll have a car that you'll be happy with instead of having half of what you want and a gf with a nice car you paid for. I'm all for generosity and all but buying you gf a car? I don't get it. If I made 100k a year I wouldn't buy my gf a car... it'd take some harrasement for me to buy my wife a car.

Doing a swap isnt neccesarily going to give you an engine/tranny thats in better shap then yours, could be worse. |

Part A is the best advice yet.... although I assume he wasn't planning on taking out a loan in anticipation of the new job... (if so don't) Part B I think that's what he meant... I don't think he planned on cutting off the front clip of his car to weld in another... I think he meant he'd get a front clip and swap in the motor...

but i mean.....why bother getting the front clip even in that case??? just get the motor.
the most for your money? H22A. however if you want it to be done the right way, it costs more - probably in about the b18c5 area. the best for your money? imo - b18c5. |

is b18c5 the LS motor?
because i think that the best motor is the LS motor because it is the easiest to turbo with out having to mess with the VTEC |

hell no i'm not taking out a loan....i'm just looking for stuff and doing some debating for if i get this job......i'm very imnpatient and have to have shit done yesturday......thats why i get all in a hurry when i dont even have the funds yet......just wishfull thinking i guess.......
and the front clip.......it's the only way to get the whole subframe without crawling through a junkyard.....if i get the entire front clip i can just take the subframe and engine out and sell the rest.....like i said......since my subframe is weaker than the GSR or Type R then i would need to reinforce it anway...so why not just use the subframe from either wich with fit directly to my car and save time and # for welding and parts... |

your subframe can handle it just fine......you'll have to mod no matter what if you want a lot of power and doing a subframe swap is a complete waste of time AND money. havent you ever noticed that people do swaps all the time and DONT swap subframes???
and B18C5 is the usdm ITR motor. |

NO b18c5 is an ITR (Integra Type-R) motor
B18C is the Integra GS-R motor And a B18B is an LS motor... |

Y turbo the GSR motor, dont u have to have the VTEC controller and all?
Isnt it better to not have to deal with that? i have talked to several people and they all agree that the LS motor is the best to turbo, since it has lower compression than the b18C1 or b18c5 |
