1994 intregtra engine
I just bought a intregra with 150k miles on it so i am wondering what an good engine swap would be. I'm also wondering what pro. parts would up my proformance enough to make a good difference. thanks.

intsead of swapping the motor you could just rebuild it for turbo and then go turbo. I really don't like turbo but in this heavy of a car you pretty much can't go all motor. A h22a would be good swap but its a pain in the ass to put in.

go for a b18c5(integra type r motor) which has 197hp then maybe get a jackson racing super charger which would give you 40% more power, and a good cold air intake and a few other things. if you are getting new header and exhaust system put that on before you put your motor in, i think it would be much easier.

You can't really supercharge a B18C5 very effectively. The compression is high enough that under considerable boost, you get detonation.
Also, don't buy a B18C5. For the extra money you pay for the Type R engine, you could buy a B18C GSR engine and build it up enough to be stronger than the B18C5. I also wouldn't turbo an engine with 150K without rebuilding it first. |
