Is there any better place to be than just above half way? Yes, there is, Mr. Tediously Average! There's nothing so dull as middle-of-the-road mediocrity, and that's you, all right. You've either spent an unhealthy amount of time forcing your inadequate intellect to understand the little you know, or you've settled for knowing the minimum you could get away with, you lazy git.

You are practically computer-literate, in an almost real sense. This could be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on whether you use your knowledge for good or for ill. Looking at your answers, I'd almost certainly say it was a bad thing.

I took the test twice and it asked me different questions each time... got 62% on both.

Solid, if unimaginative scoring. You probably know enough about computers to get by, though I bet you have to bluff a bit when it comes to talking to your kids/IT department. Pay a bit more attention when others are trying to help you and you might not be such a drain on everyone's time.

"You are 33% geek"

You are certainly no computer expert, but you can probably tell a keyboard from a mouse almost instantly. Hone those skills, learn to use Word and maybe even investigate email. Who knows, it might come in useful if you ever manage to get a job.

Me.

Here's a quote I just read on another board:

There are 10 types of people in this world: Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Nerd humor I guess

You are 80% geek

You're on a particularly useless cusp known as "being a bit of a nerd". Nobody really trusts what you say about computers, but at the same time, they keep asking you really annoying questions that they could answer for themselves if they just spent five minutes thinking about it. You also have to spend a lot of time not having a life in order to keep your slightly inadequate skills up to date. You have a choice: work harder and learn more, or give up and start to enjoy life.

bleh...i'm not a geek

theres another variant of that saying:
There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those who understand boolean and those who dont.

I learned more nerdy jokes in my digital class than anything.

Pop Quiz: How do you get the two's complement of a binary number?

Get one's compliment
Add 1 to that
Add that result with original number
Drop most significant digit

I think that's right, I haven't done that in a long time.

yep pretty much...
you invert all the bits, add one, and thats the two's comp.
same procedure to go backwards.

How about: what is the voltage range for a logic high? and a logic low? the neutral zone?

(after this I'm done with my stupid quizes, ok?)

You're pretty much a nerd, sure enough. So if that's what you wanted to hear, well done, ish. I mean you're a "kind-of" geek, but definitely not gifted. Either you're a hard worker who's as thick as two short sales executives, or you just can't be bothered with detail. Whichever, you're a loser.
