MIL light???
We have a 99 accord 4cy, auto with 80k. The Malfunction indicator light has come on. The owners manual says it has something to do with the emission system. Does anybody know what this could be? I have already tried the "tighten the gas cap", but that did not work.
Thanks in advance. |

That is what it said in the owners manual. It said that there is something wrong the the "emission system".

on an OBD2 car the MIL light only comes on when there's a malfunction that increases emissions a certain amount. a lot of OBD2 cars have separate service engine lights for non-emissions related problems and check engine or MIL lights for emissions related problems.
