The beginning of my dynamat install

removing carpet wasnt as bad as i though it'd be, just gotta take out the seats, take out the center consoles, remove the foot rest next to the clutch and unbolt the lower seat belt mounts.

here's a pic of what i got done so far:

after the dynamat i'm gonna put down a layer of dense carpet padding. I hope this is all worth it.

i want to do that whenever i have my car again. it's in storage... how many things of dynamat did you get/what all are you sound proofing?

one bulk pack(36sq ft). pretty much everything.

thanks. each bulk pack weighs 21lbs in the box, I may need to buy another.

One thing I'm confused about is are you going after sound setup or speed? Because by putting dynmat, and system, you're adding quite a bit of extra weight to the car.

i'm going for enjoying the car while i drive, which i dont do when its loud as hell. i have just a basic system, i'm not really worried about that. if i use two whole bulk packs its only about 40lbs. which could be easily madeup for w/ like a small battery and lightweight hood.

100bucks per bulk pack i use and like 20bucks worth of carpet padding.

its not that much work. how is it for nothing? i want the car more quiet, therefore i'm taking the steps neccesary to achieve that.
