vtec information *read before asking questions*
http://www.leecao.com/honda/vtec/whatsvtec.html
i'll let 2ndgenteg deside if he wants this stickyed, but i liked what i read, and it re-enforced alot of what i've learned, theres a few very minor things that i thought were conrtoversial, but i doubt anyone will catch them. it will answer alot of questions and put what vtec really is into perspective for alot of people. its about 20 mins of reading, but well worth it

Im wondering, could you rip apart a vtec engine, take the vtec computer, and put it on a non vtec engine, like a B18B so it could have vtec?

The heads are completely different- camshafts, rocker assemblies, everything. You have to swap a lot more than the computers.

I was wondering because mitsubishi has a similar technology in japan called MIVEC. I found the motor that has it so that is why I was wondering if you could take VTEC and put it on a nonVTEC motor so if you could, then there could be a probability you could do the same with MIVEC.

FTO's are cool. I like the body design. Looks awesome. The american version of the FTO is the Eclipse. Doesnt look as good though.
