Rear Deck Question
Hi,
I am new here and I have a 2001 Civic EX. I'm a girl (as you can tell by my user name) who hasn't done much work to cars before, but if any of you could tell me how to remove the rear deck so I can find out about and fix a rattling noise it would be greatly appreciated. Or if any of you have had a similar problem please share your story. Thanks! |

yes I have a brake light in the rear window. I think it's the brake light enclosure so I think I might need to remove the entire deck to get at it. If it is the brake light enclosure I was thinking about using some type of sealant around it to tighten it up?

Simple fix that Ive seen a lot of 7th gen owners do:
Stuff a sock in between the rear class and the hump of the brake light. If you want it to look cleaner, try ramming a few cut pieces of cloth in through the holes in in the roof trunk between the frame and the upper deck. (This is what I did on my ej8 and solved the problem......jdm socks ) |
