how are air rides gay. i dont want to have to spend money on another body kit or what have you because of speed bumps tearing it up. air rides are essential for any show car. i just dont know any good places around HERE to look into it. so i wana get info on any sites that carry them

well at first i thought that you wanted performance too. i will look it up for you and get you a price in the next few days, just don't expect to have an auto-x type of handling.

Though the article is written for an older Civic, this will give you an idea of whats involved.
http://www.lowridereuroweb.com/tech/0301lre_airtech/ Im not sure how much luck youll have finding an air ride kit for a newer civic. Since the suspension in the 7th Gen has changed from what it use to be in the 6th Gen. Do a search on google, youll probably find a lot more of links for companies that have air ride kits. You will probably want to call them to see if they are available for newer civics yet.

i heard a similar story talking to someone with an older prelude on air ride. he had a custom system installed for 3500 dollars. i thought i might be spending anywhere from 1500-2000. he said the newer civics with their suspension similarities to alot of the newer cars, it would be difficult to find air rides that would fit without spending an a$$load of cash. is this ENTIRELY true? because if it is, ill probably spend an a$$load on a custom setup if nobody else wants to do it. ill be the only one with it :P IAC, thanks man yea if you could PM some prices over or i can IM you on aol IM. either way thanks for the help thus far. :P and nah, i dont expect great handling. just show

There are certain factors that affect ride quality.. Most of which is how much PSI you have filled the bags with.. The more PSI the firmer the ride. They are okay for highway use, the ride would probably be rather nice. But once you start talking about transfering weight quickly (like auto-x) you probably wouldnt be so happy with the results. Not to mention, airbags require a little more attention then normal suspension does. Where out quicker, more components, etc. Thats why they work well for showcars. Most of them dont get used day in/day out.
