Door Chime annoying me!!!

Hey, i just bought a 91 accord lx, 2 door. And the most annoying thing is the damn door chime when i have the key in and my door open. I hate it to work on stuff and its driving me crazy. I checked the fuze box and couldn't disconnect it from there and i looked in my manual and it said nothing in there either really. Can anyone help me or tell me how to make it stop chiming!!!?? THanks alot

I think that sound is on the same fuse as the beep when you leave your lights on, and possible some interior lights. Mine was bad when I bought my car, and when I replaced the fuse, everything worked again.

The door chime is part of the intergrated control unit located in the underdash fuse box.

Hey I feel ya, mines annoys me to but it's good and bad I feel. So you know if you left your lights on or door open or something ya know. So you don't kill your battery, but I don't have to worry cause I got a stick ...

You would have to remove the integrarted control unit, take it apart and remove the chime. The control unit is about the sise of a casseette case(usually brown in color) and mounted in the under dash fuse box. It has on connector on the side twords the firewall and one on the bottom which you can't see until its removed. Just be careful dash warning lights run through this control unit.

Good luck,
Chris
