side moldings
Hey I was wondering what would be the easiest way to make the side moldigns on the door white? Could I buy white side moldings or is painting them better? What kinda paint should I use if I paint them? Thanx for the help

Are you talking about the side moldings halfway up/down on the door for "dings" and stuff?
The '94 EX probably came with body colored side moldings, you could maybe pick some up from a junkyard or something like that. You could maybe even buy them from Honda, but they'd probably cost a lot that way. You could paint them as well, I'd generally recommend doing it professionally, but I know there's some people on the board who can give you assistance with painting it yourself. b |

i would say you'd be better off painting them. if u buy them colored it's gonna be a pain in the rear to take them off. you need to take the door panel off, get rid of the plastic insulation, remove the window and the window crane, then take them out. usually they used some sort of glue to keep them in place along with some plastic clams, which will be broken very easy. if u paint them just make sure you tape enough of the car, scratch them with very fine grit sandpaper(800 &up), then use some bumper primer and then the paint.

... i was gonna paint mines too since i got bapped like a month ago and their doing the repair job on my accord, the body shop didn't recomend painting the side moldings since he said they're rubber and after a few few months the paint would start to chip and crack since the paint won't stick as well to it.. he recomended getting the oem side moldings cause they're not rubber and their already painted... oh well
