cd changer problem
I have a stock (I guess) Alpine 6 cd changer installed in the trunk of my 96 civic. I can play a cd for around 5 minutes or so, and then the player starts what seems like skipping, it will just go silent for a few seconds, then come back on. If I continue to play a cd, it keeps on doing this, and the longer I play, the longer and more frequent the skips become until it goes silent and stays that way for a while (15 min. to 1 hour).
cutting the cd player on and off does not restart the cycle, the player just has to sit for a while to start working normally for another few minutes. also my stock head unit stays fairly hot, whenever the car is running. I have a friend who is having this same problem with an aftermarket cd player/head unit in his accord. help me |

CD chger
Try a Cd cleaner, If not take it apart and clean the eye with a
q-tip and alcohol. Then check everything else for damage.. |
