Installed my indiglo shift knob *PICS*
Well, just finished installing my indiglo shift knob. Everything worked out flawlessly. I wired it so that when the parking lights came on it would come on, but i also wired a SPDT switch in so i could turn it off when the parking lights were on, and turn it on when the parking lights were off. I'll make a seperate post with a diagram for that. I was going to get the type r shift boot, but acura didn't have them in stock, and they didn't know if it was red or black stiched. I used the electrical tape trick to hold the shift boot up.
I don't care if you think it's rice, i like it. Rice only means something that you don't like thats not of your own personal preference. |

I really like the way that looks in the dark. Not too obvious, but really cool. Nice job.

Does it just thread on? I'm sick of my Momo knob with the set screws. Even with loc-tite, I can't make it stay for more than a few weeks.

nice = night?
it's got a little bolt that goes on right before it and what i did was made the knob slightly offset and twisted the nut up to it then used my hand and tightend it into the nut, no problems and it's VERY snug, didn't need to use any tools for it like a wrench |

OK, if you don't understand what i mean, this is what my task was. Have my indiglo shift knob come on when my parking lights were turned on, but if i wanted to turn it off while the parking lights were on, i could. I also wanted to be able to turn on the indiglo shift knob if the parking lights were not on. Please don't say just wire and inline switch cause i didn't want that! Well here is how you do it.

Thanks for the wiring diagram Brandon. I'd really like to get one of those knobs and try it.
