suspension noob
next spring i plan on some 17" wheels wrapped in 215/45s, and about a 2" drop (rumor has it anything more than that is illegal in my state). what's going to give me the most bang for my buck, and the least wear and tear on my car... coil-overs or springs/shocks?
i do a LOT of driving and i'd like to have a comfortable (maybe a little more firm than stock)ride. i don't really need top-of-the-line adjustable racing stuff either. i'm just wondering what options are out there for the daily driver and what to stay away from. |

For comfort in the 2" range, check out Eiback sportlines combined with Koni yellow struts. Good performance, and from what I've heard, a decent ride.

Coilovers are more performance oriented and are usually stiffer then a regular springs/shock combo. H&R, Nuespeed, and Eibach all make good drop springs. With that much of a drop you should probably look into a good camber kit also.

yup, you will need a camber kit.
My pick would be Eibach/Koni .

Yeah, you'll most likely become a snow plow. If this is an issue, look into coilovers.
