lowering with springs

just to be clear on everything 1st, my car is all show no go, its a civic DX for cryin out loud....

ok, i need a set of springs the can lower f1.75" and r1.5" with a fairly good ride, i was thinking H&R possibly...but with that much of a drop would i need a new camberkit or shocks/struts or anything crazy like that, or is it possible to just throw on the springs, realign the wheels and drive away?

with that drop you need the camber kit and new shocks struts. if you would go with pro kits from eibach (1.2") you won't need any camber kits or shocks, and the ride will be fairly stock quality

Definately get some shocks and you will probably need a camber kit too.

ive pretty much decided on getting either H&R or Nuespeed springs, ive found them both at nearly the same price range, and they both lower the same ammount of ride height (1.75"f & 1.5"r) so you say i would need a camber? how much of one? and what would be a decent pair of shocks that would gimme a nice smooth ride? (remember im not into performance just trying to get a nice looking daily driver, no need to go all out) i just dont need something way too pricey, thats all.

if you could help me out it'd be much appreciated

Whether or not you will need a camber kit is hard to say.. I know people that have lowered there car that low and not needed them, but most do. Check www.groupbuycenter.com to see if they have any deals on them.

Tokico, Koni, Bilstien, then are all decent shocks. Id look into the Koni Reds, they are cheaper the the yellows and will probably do the job well.
