Welcome to HS. If you don't want to swap yet, get an exhaust next.

Hey- welcome to the board. You might want to get a header and an exhaust next. Do you plan on doing an engine swap? If you do it wouldn't really be worth turboing or super charging it.

both types of forced induction would be fine. Nitrous will help also. It all comes down to this: It does not matter what type of engine you have because with the time and money, you can make any car go fast. Also remember that there is always someone faster than you. I

Both type of forced inductions are NOT good. Superchargers suck on a 4-banger. I think I saw a type-R with a Jackson Racing SC on submitted rides once. It had like 227hp to wheels at, I think 5lbs. Dont those cars have 210 stock? LOL, how is that good? My car on the other hand. Same boost with turbo, around SAME HORSEPOWER. Oh yea, mine has 140hp stock. |

I am saying that it is good start. JRSC are not that bad. Turbo either. At 5.5 lbs of boost, do not expect significant gains. I know they suck at 5.5 pounds of boost but then again it mgiht be enough for most people. Maybe not you but out of most of the people I know that have either setup are very satisfied. I think that most people overhype them and people are suckered into that misleading information. And then when people see them in cars, they expect to be in the mid to low 13's. That's ridiculous for honda's. And no, type r's do not have 210 stock. Sorry but you have been misinformed. I can't remember the exact number so do not quote me on this. I believe a type r is about 190 stock trim (flywheel) and with 5 psi of boost, 230 something h/p to the wheels, that sounds about right. I do not know much about DSM's; moreover, I do not know what type of numbers you should be pulling. When I had a greddy turbo kit I was running mid to high 14's. But when I boosted the turbo to it's max, around 14 psi if I can remember, I was pulling 13's. Now I have a a civic that runs 12's. So tell me how that is NOTgood?

When you get a Stock Engine's HP it's at the engine not at the wheels... 227 at the wheels is damn good ! At the wheels is what got tested on a dyno. I'm not sure exactly how to convert it to at the engine, but it will be way higher.

Im sure some of you had to have seen the Type-R that was posted. Not only did he have the JRSC, he had TONS of shit done for speed. He had over 25,000$ put into the car to make it run at 231hp to the wheels. Thats pathetic. Give me 10,000 with nothing but a stage VI turbo and im running 500+hp to the wheels. Turbo > Supercharger
