Ok Im just posting this cuz Im curious, not cuz Im gonna really do it.
How much would a engine swap cost? How much would a transmission swap cost? (Auto to manual). And what are my choices for the engine swap. 98 accord. |

basically you would need a 98+ h22a. the swap comes complete with tranny and all the stuff needed. the engine+tranny+axles+other crap=$2300-$3500.

By the way, if my F23A1 engine would brake down for any reason, I can still get a "swap" for a h22 rite? lol

yeah... actualy you can get any h22a engine, the 94-95 jdm engines which are rated at 200ps (197hp) are stronger than the 5thgen 200hp h22a4's. i belive the h22a4's are overrated, the only thing is, you would have to either convert your car to obd1 (better for performance) or get a obd2 ecu

labor is extra, but if u want to wait for the f23 to break you won't see a swap somewhere in the next 10 years and the 3500 does not include labor

It will come with a tranny for the prices listed, but always ask to make sure. Install I've heard from $600-$1000+

I heard you can only swap and engine the same year or newer according to law. I may be wrong.

Hmmm a quick question. I am interested about doing a swap as well.
But I was thinking .............. is there any other engine that I can use for my Accord or is that basically the standard that everyone is going for? And if there is another good engine I could get what would it be?

The other choice would be the 160hp H23 from a 4th gen Prelude Si. A good solid engine if you're going to slap a turbo on it. This can be found cheaper than the H22A, but you won't get as much power stock from it.

but it was discontinued in 96 so with a 6th gen accord you can forget about it. it's the law
