idle rev help
my del sol does the idle rev from about 1k to 2k
ive heard of this on other del sols but how do you fix it?????? please help..any info |

that's because of idle set to high, the IAC valve, or a vacuum leak. you need to take out the tps sensor plug and adjust the rpms until you get to a normal idle, then recconect it, stop the engine and reset the ecu.

i did that already
i think it may be a vaccum leak but someone said something about the idle air control valve???? |

You haven't by any chance advanced your timing recently, have you?
Just checking, cuz a buddy of mine a while back rotated his distributor cap a little too far and ran into idle problems, we all mocked him mercilessly until he changed it back. b |

i already pulled the valve off once are you referring to the black cap piece on that top of it???? |

well on mine it is a aluminum cap, and i think yours might be different since you said a black cap
