messed up p/s
yesterday i was turning into my driveway.....and booooom the power-stering goes out! i almost took out the mailbox! hahah it was sooo funny! but later i was thinking what if it did that on like the highway when i was chageing lanes or something??? yea it woudent be cool.. but it does it all the time.... and it makes a lot of noise then just goes out! whats up with it yall?

umm i'd say your pump is dead and you have a leaking power steering line(definitely not uncommon among 88 ludes). the noise is the pump whining cause the fluid is low. The power steering onthe highway really isn't giving much assist at all. it takes very little steering input at those speeds to manuever a vehicle(that's why they are going to EPS).

ooo sorry my bad... i dident mean it did it like ALL the time... just every now and then... fluid is good...same with hoses... sorry for not putting that in there!

mine does the same thing once in a blue moon when it's cold and wet outside, and the belts are tight.
