newbie.......first honda
Hi everyone....I just wanted to introduce myself and poor little civic(pictures below). My step-brother recently GAVE me his 92 Civic DX after he was in a little accident. It currently has about 150,000 miles, which I hear isnt that bad for a honda. Anyway, the guy at the shop said i need both a lower and upper control arm, and he could do it for $300 with used parts, including labor, but not body work. I know I have a long road ahead to get it in the condition I want it......but im up for the challenge but I think my first challege is actually learning how to drive stick , Well let me know what you think.....I look forward to learning from everyone.....thanx!.........Sarah

Thanx guys!
hybrid...what do you think they should charge me? I found the upper control arm for $40 and the lower for $75 at a local junk yard, both used, so i am going to call the guy on monday to let him know that i am going to send them to him....hopefully he wont charge me much labor. I just can't wait to get it on the road. |

Hi Welcome to HS...
Man We're being invaded by the other gender.... thier goes the neighborhood. The car doesn't look to be too bad off, Once you get it on the road, just keep up on the maintenence and I'm sure you'll get a lot more Miles out of it. I'm learning to drive stick too ... it sucks ! Some Ppl posted some pretty good advice on the "I have a stick and dont know how to use it" thread here in the Newbie's forum, You might wanna glance at that, but right now we're just arguing. Well Happy Honda'ing Let us know how things go
