germanys traffic rules..
saw this on another board... think its real.
1)You can't get a license until you're 18 2)Every driving test MUST be taken in a manual transmission 3)Mandatory driving instuction of at leat 20-25 hours with a cost of between 1000-1500 Euros 4)Rechtsfahren(drive right)-under NO circumstances are you allowed to pass on the right 5)Zero Tolerance for road rage 6)Tickets sent in mail-they use cameras to issue tickets for speeding(there are SOME speed limits on the Abahn), TAILGAITING, and dangerous driving. These aren't normal camera's either. There are people monitoring these cameras at all times. They aren't just still photo cameras that snap a pic when you get radared. The reason for this is to avoid high speed chases on the Autobahn. They have pictures of you. No arguments. 7)Here is the best one: The fine you pay is based on your income level! Isn't that great! So all the rich bastards over there REALLY have to be careful! Just a little useless info for y'all.

i was over there as an excahnge student this summer and the germans by eurpean standards are the taim drivers. that being said my host dad had his porshe 911 up to 120 on a 40 mile an hour road he passed 2 tractor trailers at once on a mountain road in the alps it was friggin scary. most germans also drive either a mercedes bmw or audi the kids drive volkswagens. the germans put a tons of money into their cars. Its really hard to be a tunner, as they call it because every two years you have to put your car throught an unbelivably throught inspection and if they find anything broken or an illegal modification you have on month to fix it or the car is destroyed. While I was thee i went to a german drag race and man you have never seen so mant little tiny two door golfs in one place it was insane. on one of the races a porche 911 with the interior compltelty striped this huge wing and monster 6 capilar brembo brakes( didnt get to look under the hood ) ws stomped by a 72 supper beattle, that bug ran a high ten and sounded cooler than the porsche no idea how that guy made a bug so fast it was crazy
