Yup. How much depends on how much of the exhaust you do, and what brand.
You will yield the most if you throw a full exhaust on. But if you cant afford it I'd go with a cat back system. and then save for the rest. |

gains will be minimal with just a muffler or catback, add in an intake and header and you may get 12-18hp, some engines see as high as 25hp gains, depends on the motor.

I have an exaust, throttle body, and intake and I have noticed a difference, I want a nice set of headers but I've noticed a broad price range. Will DC sports pull more HP that Chikara?

Can anyone estimate the HP increase on 1.5 with a ZC throttle body, OBX carbon intake and full custom exaust???
Any takers? Anyone? My guess is around 13. |

with a larger throttle body, you'd obviously allow for more airflow, and with a polished throttle body, you'd supposedly have smoother, less turbulent airflow.

My vote's for the DC. I've worked with both. Due to the chikara's design the loss of low end isn't that significant. However, the quality is well below par. Fit was horrible and resulted in numerous blown gaskets. The DC fit great (well, as good as a header could fit). The power gains all depend on the design, though. As for the TB.... in my opinion, unless you're blown, it's really not worth the money. Sure, it gives you a larger space for air to travel through, but even with an aftermarket intake system you're still not gonna be sucking in that much more air.
