SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
ok i have a 93 accord lx 5speed i got into a car accident doing about 35mph and hit someone from the back broke both my headlights messed up the hood the bumper is ok but the bumper reinforcement cracked. my radiator broke because it leaked out all the fluid. but other than that i can see no other damage but the car wont start it wont even attempt to start no crank no nothing the dash lights dont turn on but the break lights do and the emergency lights do as well. i tried push starting it but that didnt help either??? does anyone have any idea what this could be i mean i know im looking at a couple hundred in body work but mechanical im clueless i dont know why it wont start some one please help!!!!!!!!!!

maybe there is a short, or the battery posts are messed up after the incident

ok well my break lights work though if the battery didnt work shouldnt it prevent the break and emerg lights from working as well and the horn does too

i am not sure but i heard some ecus need to be reset after an accident. they will shut the engine off so you don't get gas spills inside your engine compartment.

ohh ok sounds logical a friend of mine told me somthing like that happend to his...do you know if only honda can do this or can i take it to some local mechanic? if so about how much am i looking to spend??

just unplug the battery for about 30 mins. and it will reset

tried that and no go could the ecu just be totaly messed up and need replacing cuz honestly i cant think of any reason why it wont at least crank it makes no noise nothin at all no beeping when the key is in or anything...but at the same time i still a horn i still have emergency lights or whats left of them and i still have break lights thanks for everyones help though im just so frustrated i dont wanna get rid of it i can afford to fix it i just cant afford to buy a new one

could the starter have gone bad by anychance, or check to see if the altenaotr is in operable order, oh and post some pics of the damage, maybe we can spot something out that might cause the problem
EDIT: i just reread your post and noticed that you tried roll starting it, have you tried jump start, maybe the battery is low enough that the lights till work, but wont crank, it could also be the neutral safty switch, which is located on the cltch pedal, also check all of your fuses

thanks alot man ill do all of that this coming week cuz im in miami and i gotta a couple things to do since this nice lil hurricane is heading our way i see your in Orlando hope your ok after all this thanks to all for helping
