coilovers
Ok, I need to get coilovers instead of springs because I drive my car in the winter, in michigan, in snow, lots of snow. So with the coilovers I can adjust the height back to stock (sort of) and drive over the snow (sometimes) instead of plowing the streets in my neighborhood.
So what are some good coilovers to get? Im looking at full set up and not separate springs and shocks. http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...=yes&dept=1482 H&R COIL-OVER KIT: CIVIC 95-00: are what Im thinking about now, but some info would be great. Im not a rally racer so I dont need to spend 2grand on them. I know I get what I pay for but somehwere under $1200 is just fine I would think for the driving that I do. |

H&R makes good kits, as does Tein, Tanabe, and HKS. If you really don't care about speed and handling that much, you can get the Apex'i WS system for around $850 shipped.

Those are nice. Though they are true coilovers, like the Apex'i WS, you cannot externally adjust the damping, which would be important to me. If you just care about ride height though, go for it.

also, the only reason that im looking at full sets instead of separate shocks and coilover springs is because of the reputation that separates have with noise and ride quality.

If that's the case, then you won't need damping adjustment. Damping adjusts the stiffness of the shock.
