Civic Coupe Driver Seat
Whoever has the civic 2001 coupe can you please tell me where the screws to the seat are located?
My driver side seat wiggles like a computer chair that has loose bolts. My car seat wiggles back and forth especially when I shift hard... so can anyone help me out on what type of socket I need in order to tighten the bolts and also where it is located? Thanks for any help |

10-12mm bolts, no screws.
There would be 4 of them - on the floor - you cant miss them. If theyre tight, maybe remove the seat (dont forget to disconnect the seatbelt sensor clip (cant miss that either)) and check the bolts under the rails that hold the actual seat. Can you move the seat w/ your hands when its not moving? (why did you buy this car if all you ever say about it are the problems?) |

slight problems... I got it for 8500 flat no tax no nothing cuz he did it as a give... the car came with 40k mileage that is a good deal compared to certified 2001 with 40k for 15 thousand dollars..
Yes if I swing hard enough the chair goes back and forth not that much though but it does move a little . |

Which part of the seat is actually moving when you push on it? That will tell you what needs to be tightened.
(If I were you Id fix all these little things cheaply and sell it for more than you paid and get a later model 6th gen civic w/ less problems but maybe higher miles. Just my opinion) |

cool =) I wanted the 2001+ civics because they look nicer in my opionion.
I cant find the bolts. All I could find was the rails that the seats moves in... any more help please? The problems arent big. I just get paranoid about every little thing. |

i haven't messed with a 01 civic, so I'm guesssing, but try feeling underneath the carpet. sometimes you have to pull up the carpet a little bit, because they like to hide the bolts for cosmetic purposes. There should be two bolts towards the corners of the seat, on the floor. There should also be some towards the corners on the back of the seat, towards floor.
