Simple Question... Please no stupid answers...
Just looking for some help... well for some of you out there that did purchase a new accord 02 model... you probably ran into the same problem as i did looking for after market performance parts... i did a lil reserch and found out that the engine in the 02 model is the same as the models made in 98 and up... F22A1 i believe... so does this mean i can take all the performance parts on the older models and add them to mine with minimal alterations... thats all... just trying hard not to look like a poser... thanks ya'll...

ok first let me welcome you to the boards. the engine you are talking about is is an F23A1, and the parts from 99 and up should fit to your car. i'm don't think that you need to make any alterations to the basic boltons to fit. and for your sig there is no such thing as a v4 in your accord. it's called a 4 banger or an I4 (Inline 4).

Hondaman's right...actually, I think from the 98 model on, there should be no probs with bolt ons, engine add ons...etc.
The only problem you may encounter is that in 2001 the bumpers were slightly modified, so a kit won't fit from the previous years (not without modifications to the bolt and clip placements at least) for 2001 or 02 models. |

I guess that would depend on what your requirements are. Lowering springs and lower profile tires are popular mods that are a combination of performance and cosmetic. After the initial power mods, the direction u take will depend on what you want from the car...
