You can drive in them up a steep hill, etc. It isn't good to launch in 1st, rev it up, shift to 2nd, etc. An auto tranny was designed to shift itself, not take the abuse from manual shifting.

Why cant i ever go pass 4000 rpm? Is my car that slow. Some other dude in the forums said he shifted to D3 and he got up to 5-6k rpms.

Your car won't go past 4k when its floored? I think it should go close to redline... some auto guy will have to back me up on that one though.

No need to go past 80, but you have to floor it sometime Its cool you're being cautious though. Too many teens go out and wreck their cars.

yeah... be real carefull. you dont own a sports car, dont drive it like one(very fast turns and driving like your autoXing everywhere) or you may wreck it. respect the car and it will treat you right. since your new, you probobly dont know about nuetral dropping... DONT DO IT. its when you have it in nuetral, rev it up then throw it in drive its about the worst thing short of throwing it in reverse you can do to the tranny
