03 civic type r engine swap cost $$$$
http://www.jdmpower.net/k20.html
Is $8500 too much for a 03 Civic Type R engine? I want to swap out the Si engine for the Type R but not sure if this is too much... I got it from the above site. |

holy crap thats ungodly expensive...but all the kseries are. Ive seen k20s for around $5k though.
if you really really want one, I suggest waiting a few yrs for the prices to drop...they're just too new still |

What would be a good price for a turbo kit? I've found one for 4500$ and there's another one that seem lesser quality, made from REV HARD, that costs about $3100... is this too much too?

I think that when going with something as in-depth as a turbo, you might as well pay good money for it...but $4100 does seem steep. What brand is it?
What are the specs on those two? What does the more expensive kit come with? (Because I know the rev hard one is pretty nice (new injectors, FMIC, black box, etc)) |

That's what I was looking for but the description of the Rev Hard didn't say it comes with the black box or the injectors like they Cybernations Motorsports does.. C.M is the one that costs 4500$ for stage one and comes with more stuff for stage 2.. but stage II costs like 6500$...

import tuner just did an install of the rev hard in the newest issue...it might be up on their website, but if not head on down to your local bookstore, or whatever, and read up

That's what the site said... I emailed them and they said that their turbo was in a magazine.. I asked them if it came with bigger injectors and other stuff, but they never answered back. How about Greddy turbos... I've heard good things about them but I only know like two people with them... I think I remember reading somewhere that Greddy turbos are not reliable.. any info on that? |

Is this to turbo your 02 Si? GReddy turbos are actually very reliable and streetable. It's just not as great on the 1/4 mile track. GReddy turbos are generally small which makes it very limited for higher power gain goals. A GReddy blue box or an FMU are both crap. I've done each of those set-up before and they suck. |

Yeah, it's for turbo... I read about 'em in a mag but I've never driven a car with Greddy before... come to think about... the only turbo car I've ever driven was a VW GOLF... *Moan*... I hate VW.

You ask a lot of questions about the EP3. If you want more concise answers from people who actually own them, check out this site: http://ephatch.com/forum/ ...unless you have already.
Do a search for the turbo info you are looking for. Some people there already have them, along with RSX-S swaps, etc. The members rides section is sick. Check it out. That's where I have been a lot lately looking for info about the '02 Si. |

greddy's nice and all but they don't make a kit for the '02 si yet. right now, all i can think of are 3... ultimate racing, cybernation motorsports, and revhard. in my opinion, the cybernation is your best bet. complete, quality, tech support, proven...

That price for the Type R is way out of hand. I can probably get you one for about $5G's.
